to E-4's and below. I'm going to speak with Marilyn (the sportsman's club director) on Wednesday and decide on the format. I'll probably buy another Taurus PT92 or so. Above E-4 can pay but below that grade life is tough.

I won't charge anyone in these classes, but I want to make certain that the lower grades have to opportunity to train.

I'm going to start with 6 soldiers, that will be 3 stations. Marilyn approved the class and now will get the lesson Plan to her.

I think the gooberment needs to overturn that silly Clinton ruling that says soldiers can't carry weapons on their own base. That rule got kids killed at Fort Hood.

But I know Obama won't change it.

Interesting that it is the Sportsman's center that is supporting my lessons.

Good news, partly because I gave free lessons through the wounded warrior group to a couple of guys who are in wheel chairs my entire idea was picked up by te Warrior Transition Unit. I'll teach handgun, CCW, and probably a carbine class.

Here are a cople of NCO's wives from the woman's class.

Why the "one-hand hold?"

Perhaps because that's how most people end up shooting when confronted suddenly at close range, regardless of how they've been trained?

Actually, I'll bet that it's because Uncle Mas not only teaches it, he teaches it that way.

I thought it was probably a CQB maneuver, especially with the off hand up close like that and "out of the way."

Clenching the non-gun hand tends to produce a sympathetic tightening of the gun hand. As Mas teaches it, the non-gun hand is brought back to the pectoral muscle because that's what it is likely to do if the non-gun arm has been shot. Shots to guns, hands holding the guns and the arms and shoulders behind them are fairly common in gunfights.
